I'm Guillaume, and I'll be your guide as you (re)discover the rules of this miniature game.

My adventure with this game began many years ago when I got my hands on the rulebook in the early 2000s. As a passionate fan of Warhammer and, more generally, fantasy and sci-fi wargames with miniatures, I sought alternatives to Games Workshop's iconic game, which I found to be flawed in many ways.

For one thing, the units are poorly balanced: all you need to do is line up a horde of Chaos to wipe out your opponent. Secondly, the turn-based system gives an undeniable advantage to the player who goes first. Thirdly, there is no real 'fog of war': units, regardless of their race, hold their ranks a little too well.

However, it was while immersing myself in the rules proposed by Fantasy Warlord that I found a system which addressed all my criticisms. After all, a hero is not immortal on the battlefield. A unit can lose its composure and refuse orders. A militia formation will tend to flee when faced with seasoned, robust guards.

This inspired me to revive these rules, which officially ceased to exist ten years earlier, but which still have players scattered around the world.

My first idea was to create a wiki to publish the rules of the game and give them a second chance!
